Health and Safety in the Workplace.
The Bank regularly conducts sports events with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among its employees. Participation in sports competitions, medical insurance, as well as reimbursement of 50% of the cost of gym memberships — all this stimulates employees to lead an active lifestyle, despite a "sedentary" lifestyle.
Employees of the Bank's branches actively participate in city and interbank sports competitions, including football and volleyball, representing the Bank at the regional level. In July 2025, the team of the North Kazakhstan regional branch took 3rd place in the interbank mini-football tournament among second-tier banks in the city of Petropavl.
Football teams of the Bank take part in tournaments on a regular basis, especially among second-tier banks, demonstrating a high level of preparation, team spirit, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
Also, on June 27, 2025, in the city of Astana, an annual chess tournament was held among employees of JSC "NM&H "Baiterek" and its subsidiary organizations, where employees of the Central Office and the Zhambyl regional branch took first and second places respectively.
In addition to the popularization of physical activity, great attention is paid in the Bank to caring for the health and safe activity of employees. Within the framework of the campaign "It is raining – take an umbrella", any employee of the Bank can use a corporate umbrella by contacting the Department of Human Resources Management and Organizational Activity. In 2025, briefings of employees on safety and labor protection in the workplace (in cases of emergency, fire, earthquake, etc.) – targeted, repeated, and unscheduled – were regularly conducted. The buildings where the Bank and branches of the Bank are located are equipped with primary fire extinguishing agents in accordance with fire safety requirements (fire shields, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants), as well as first aid means.

Military Registration.
Responsible persons for military registration of the Central Office and branches of the Bank carried out work on maintaining the military registration of persons liable for military service and conscripts of the Bank.
The appearance of conscripts and lieutenants at the defense affairs departments was ensured in a timely manner upon their periodic requests.
Security Practice.
The role of the Security Department in achieving the goals of the Bank is carried out by ensuring the safe functioning of the Bank, preventing internal and external threats to its security, protecting the legitimate interests of the Bank, its shareholders, management, and personnel from unlawful encroachments, as well as enhancing the image and increasing profits by ensuring the quality of services and customer safety.
90% of the Department's employees have significant work experience in operational and investigative units of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as financial organizations (second-tier banks), which speaks in favor of the qualitative composition of the division.
All employees of the Department have sufficient professional training in the field of ensuring economic and physical security, possess the necessary knowledge and skills obtained in the process of training in the line of economic security (enterprise and business security), organization of procurement, fire safety, as well as ensuring the physical security of protected objects, including under emergency conditions (banks, warehouses of inventory items, archives, life support facilities (heat and water supply) and transport (aviation and railway facilities), special objects of particular importance (warehouses of fuel and lubricants, ammunition, etc.). Similar requirements regarding the physical security of protected objects are imposed by the Bank on security service suppliers, whose employees regularly undergo corresponding retraining courses.
The Department conducts a complex of measures to counter fraud, reduce the risks of internal and external fraud, identify trends toward an increase or decrease in the risks of internal and external fraud, as well as develop measures to prevent and suppress such facts.
The sources for detecting information about identified cases of fraud are: oral and written appeals of individuals, clients of the Bank, including through the Anti-Corruption Hotline channels, discoveries by internal audit units, risk management, as well as by the Bank's security unit itself.
In total, for 2025, 8 facts of fraud were registered, of which: 6 facts carrying risks of internal fraud, and 2 facts of external fraud committed by clients of the Bank and third parties. The cited figures testify to a significant reduction in fraud, which is the result of the painstaking work of the Department in previous years.
Complaints to the Hotline were not received in the current period.
The conducted analysis showed a significant reduction in the level of fraud cases overall by 64%, while external fraud decreased by 87.5% compared to 2024.
Since the Bank is an authorized operator for opening and maintaining special accounts for lump-sum pension payments (hereinafter - LPP from JSC "Unified Accumulative Pension Fund" (hereinafter – UAPF), the Security Department ensures the identification and suppression of fraudulent actions during the implementation of the State Program on the use of LPP by citizens for the purpose of improving housing conditions and/or paying for medical treatment.
The identification of facts related to fraudulent actions for the illegal withdrawal, cashing out, and use of LPP remains particularly relevant, which acquired a large-scale character for the unlawful enrichment of third parties (so-called "helpers" / "pomogaiki") who established a criminal scheme.
In 2024-2025, statements and information about numerous identified violations on the part of dental clinics and members of medical commissions were repeatedly sent to the Ministry of Healthcare (MoH RK) and the Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA RK), which was confirmed by the use of identical x-ray images by different clinics, the absence of corresponding medical license sub-types at the clinics, and the actual absence of clinics at the addresses specified in the contracts.
As a result of the measures taken, amendments were made to the Order of the Minister of Healthcare during 2025 in terms of excluding first dental, and then ophthalmological and plastic surgery services from the list of services paid for at the expense of LPP.
In 2025, based on the Bank's materials, the Financial Monitoring Agency of the RK initiated a pre-trial investigation against 42 dental clinics, through which more than 200 billion tenge of LPP funds were withdrawn.
In January 2025, repeated attempts by active military personnel to withdraw the balances of current housing payments from special accounts using forged orders of dismissal from military units/formations and certificates of referral for military registration at local military management bodies in different regions of the country were suppressed. For all facts, statements were sent to law enforcement agencies, under which pre-trial investigations were initiated, which allowed for the exclusion of similar facts in the future.
In February 2025, an unlawful scheme for the withdrawal of housing construction savings (HCS) funds with the participation of realtors, notaries, and private bailiffs was suppressed.
According to the created and implemented unlawful scheme, realtors looked for civil servants from among the recipients of housing payments who wished to obtain mortgage loans but had not accumulated sufficient funds, and for a certain fee provided them with a loan for the amount missing to participate in the 50/50 market program, with mandatory notarization of the loan. The loan agreement established a maximally short one-day repayment period. After replenishing the HCS, the client acquired the right to receive a mortgage loan, and concluded a bank loan agreement with the Bank. Immediately after this, the realtor turned to the same notary with a request to issue an executive endorsement addressed to the debtor. Having received the executive endorsement, he handed it over to a specific private bailiff, who issued an enforcement order, on the basis of which the Bank, in accordance with the law, was obliged to transfer the HCS funds to the creditor. As a result of using this scheme in just one branch during 2024, HCS funds in the amount of 3,267,048,825 tenge were written off under enforcement orders of three private bailiffs.
After the implementation of the HCS Protection Mechanism by the Bank, cases of private bailiffs splitting the recovery amounts and presenting them in parts became more frequent. From the moment of the Mechanism's implementation on November 07, 2024, to February 2025, the specified write-off Mechanism was applied to 233 loans for a total amount of 1,454,404,112 tenge.
Along with the unlawful personal enrichment of employees of real estate companies, individual notaries, and private bailiffs, this criminal activity carried the risks of discrediting the State Program for providing housing to civil servants, recipients of housing payments.
As a result of the measures taken, this illegal activity was suppressed by sending materials to state bodies to take measures against the involved notaries and private bailiffs, and to a law enforcement agency, by which a pre-trial investigation is being conducted.
In addition, on June 30, 2025, at the initiative of the Bank, norms on the protection of HCS were legally adopted. The amendments limited the possibility of applying executive endorsements of notaries and actions of private bailiffs regarding the arrest and seizure of funds from HCS accounts. The amendments are included in the Civil, Criminal Procedure, and Civil Procedure Codes, the laws "On Enforcement Proceedings and the Status of Bailiffs", "On Banks and Banking Activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan", and "On Payments and Payment Systems".
Currently, the HCS of clients are protected at the legislative level. The implementation of the specified norms will allow the depositors of the Bank to continue replenishing savings and switch to a housing loan in a timely manner.
Facts of forgery of income documents, allowing clients of the Bank who did not meet the qualification requirements to obtain mortgage loans, were also identified.
Based on the identified facts, statements were sent to bring three employees of the Bank to criminal responsibility.
Based on the results of internal investigations conducted by the Security Department in 2025, changes and additions were made to a number of internal documents of the Bank concerning the credit process, collateral, and work with overdue and problem loans.
The security unit on a constant basis continues to take the necessary measures to ensure the safe functioning of the Bank, prevent internal and external threats to its security, protect the legitimate interests of the Bank and its clients from unlawful encroachments, and strengthen the security of the Bank's personnel and property.
