Membership in International Organizations

European Federation of Building Societies (EFBS)

EFBS is an association of credit and other institutions that promotes and supports housing finance. The Federation was founded on August 29, 1962, and is one of the first credit federations at the European level. As Europe moves toward political and economic integration, the Federation promotes the idea of homeownership, represents the interests of its members in the European Union, and ensures that its members are informed about progress in European unification and measures taken to this end by EU bodies. In addition, the Federation supports and stimulates mutual information and exchange of experience among its members in the field of housing finance and housing policy. Today, the association includes 36 members across Europe and Asia. Full membership of JSC Otbasy Bank in the EFBS represents a unique opportunity for further development of the Kazakhstani housing construction savings system and promoting the process of integration into the global community of building societies.
