Procurement Practices
The Bank is committed to ensuring transparency and efficiency in its procurement processes, which are carried out in accordance with the Rules for the Procurement of Goods, Works, and Services. Information systems are actively used to automate the organization and execution of procurement procedures, including price quotation requests and open tenders.
The Bank’s procurement activities are guided by the following principles:
- optimal and efficient use of funds allocated for procurement;
- openness and transparency of the procurement process;
- equal opportunity for potential suppliers to participate in procurement procedures;
- fair competition among potential suppliers;
- accountability of procurement participants;
- prevention of corrupt practices.
The Bank procures goods and services from a wide range of state-owned enterprises. These procurements are typically small in scale and conducted on a commercial basis. Selection criteria for potential suppliers of goods, works, and services are applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As a result of the procurement procedures carried out in 2024, a total of 759 contracts were signed. The total value of these contracts amounted to KZT 13,278,584 thousand (excluding VAT: KZT 12,080,052 thousand), with 1,679 budget line items executed. The total savings achieved through procurement activities reached KZT 386,648 thousand. The local content share in procurement during the reporting period was 64.2 % (the amount executed according to reports as of 01.01.2025 stood at KZT 14,972,589.3 thousand).
