LABOR RELATIONS PRACTICES
In the area of human rights compliance and labor relations, the Bank is guided by the principles of the UN Global Compact, the Bank’s Corporate Governance Code, and the Bank’s Sustainability Policy.
There were no grievances filed against the Bank in the reporting year for violation of labor relations practices. In accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan as well as the terms and conditions of the labor contract, employees have the right to apply for consideration of an individual labor dispute/grievance to:
- the Bank’s Grievance Commission;
- the Bank’s Ombudsman;
- the Bank Employees’ Representative.
The timeframes for reviewing individual labor disputes are regulated by the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2024, the Bank conducted training sessions on policies and procedures related to human rights topics that are significant for its operations. Specifically, a remote training course was held titled Increasing Employee Awareness on Gender Equality, which covered 1,137 employees of the Bank. Additional training was provided on the topics of Human Rights and Diversity and Inclusion, reaching a total of 1,104 employees.
There are no divisions within the Bank where child labor, forced labor, or the involvement of young workers in hazardous tasks is practiced.
