The building of the Bank’s Central Office does not consume or use surface water, groundwater, rainwater or wastewater from another organization as a source of water. Water supply and sewage services are provided through the central network of Almaty Su State Municipal Enterprise, which operates under the right of economic management, based on a service agreement.

In 2024, water consumption increased by 68 % compared to 2023, reaching 29,985.74 m³. This significant increase is attributed to the following factors:

  • Change in consumption accounting methodology: When compiling data for previous years, some of the Bank’s buildings (branches) were not included. In addition, for certain leased buildings, utility services were included in the rental fee, and the lease agreements did not require the provision of data on the consumption of energy resources, water, or solid waste disposal. In 2024, the Bank introduced a provision in lease agreements requiring the submission of such data upon request. As a result, the Bank’s water consumption in 2024 includes all Bank premises (both owned and leased).
  • Business expansion and opening of additional branches: In the reporting year, the Bank launched its 20th branch in the Ulytau region.
