SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2024 Turning the Dream of Home into a Goal

Sponsorship and Charity

Charity and sponsorship are part of the Bank’s corporate culture and one of the traditional areas of participation in the life of society, ensuring social, political and economic stability of the territory where the Bank operates.

For the Bank, charity and sponsorship are important from the point of view of strengthening the Bank’s business reputation and developing the internal corporate culture. The Bank considers all requests for charitable and sponsorship assistance and has developed a program to engage employees in charitable projects in various formats. These include personal financial and other donations, giving every employee the opportunity to make a personal contribution to the common good.

In 2024, Bank employees organized a fundraising campaign under the Asar initiative to support the treatment of three employees from regional branches who were diagnosed with cancer.

In May 2024, a Victory Day campaign was conducted, during which employees of the Bank’s Central Office provided financial and material assistance (in the form of food baskets) to veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

Additionally, Bank employees organized a fundraising campaign to support those affected by flooding. As part of this effort, one day’s salary from participating employees was donated, totaling KZT 9,378,805.

In June 2024, a Donor Day blood drive was held at the Bank’s Head Office in collaboration with the Almaty City Blood Center. The campaign collected 36 liters of blood to help address the shortage of donor blood for children with hematologic and oncologic conditions.

In September 2024, under the Road to School campaign, employees provided charitable support to children from the Zhiger Youth Organization for People with Disabilities. The support targeted children with disabilities, particularly those with visual impairments, and consisted of the purchase of school and preschool supplies through gift certificates to a specialized stationery store. The donations were made from the personal funds of Bank employees.

In December 2024, employees from the Bank’s Central Branch in Astana participated in another Donor Day campaign organized by the Holding together with the National Research Center for Transfusiology, a Republican State Enterprise operating under the right of economic management.

Later that month, the Bank hosted a charitable initiative called Ainalayin. Employees contributed baked goods, books, and other items for sale. The proceeds were used to purchase 250 gift packages for children without parental care, including orphans residing in the SOS Children’s Village.

No charitable, sponsorship, or philanthropic assistance was provided using the Bank’s budget in 2024.
